About us!

We are a family run equestrian centre based in St Ewe, near St Austell, Cornwall.

Being surrounded by beautiful countryside but being able to travel out of county easily is a feat unto itself in Cornwall. We hope we have achieved that by situating ourselves only ½ hour drive from the A30, the main trunk road running throughout Cornwall and ¾ hour drive from both Newquay and Plymouth airports. This enables us to source quality horses and ponies from anywhere in the country and travel nationwide with our competition stock.

Nicky has owned and schooled her own horses and ponies since being a young child. Having successfully run a small scale breaking and schooling yard on The Lizard peninsular decided to concentrate on the larger scale equestrian centre.
Nicky also has full support from husband John who is great at maintenance and will be producing his own hay/haylage for resale.

We will provide a tailored service to suit you and your horses needs from mucking out, clipping and trimming to full show production to county level and beyond.

We are currently developing our premises with a 60m x 30m sand school installed and erection of the stable block to house 16 horses with stables sizes 10’ x 14’ to 14’ x 14’.
We will have one stable set up to include a horse shower and solarium and a designated foaling box.
The office block will follow later this year and will house an equine laundry. We are working on a partnership programme with a rug repairer/supplier at the moment.

A further advantage is that we are now living on site allowing 24/7 care for the horses and added security.

We have invested in some stunning broodmares with excellent breeding lines such as Negro and Argentinus to be a foundation for our breeding programme of quality competition horses. We have foals due later this year.

Please contact us with your support and keep visiting this website to be updated with progress as is happens.

Look forward to hearing from you all.

Nicky has been of invaluable help to myself, my children, my horse & their ponies. Nicky has taken my children who had no showing experience, to winning in the show ring with confidence & expertise.

She has the highest of standards, the welfare of the horses and ponies is paramount, be they competition/show animals or 'ordinary people', they are all of equal importance in her eyes.

I have no hesitation in placing my children & their ponies and my show stock in her care or in recommending her to future clients.

Thank you Nicky for all your help & I wish you every success in your new business, here's to 2007.

Kind regards,

Angie Nicholson

I was given Spice about a year ago now. She was basically wild when I got her and scared of her own shadow.

Everybody told me she would never change and I suggested it would be better if I got rid of her.

I always had faith in my little pony and knew that with a lot of time and TLC I would one day ride her.

I found out that Nicky took horses for breaking; I got Spice booked in as soon as I could!

After the first week she was with Nicky I saw a huge change in Spice, a lot calmer and much more manageable – I think she was actually quite enjoying it!

I felt so proud if Spice when I watched Nicky get on her, she seemed not to care that someone was sat on her.

About six weeks ago I took her home; we are enjoying quiet hicks together which Spice loves!

Thank you, Nicky
